Norundyn Victrix Shael; “Undyn” was trained from birth to be one of the noble warriors in His Callidus Temple branch of the Officio Assassinorum. She ate Polymorphine, wore her hair in a long braid, and walked around in skin-tight black Assassinorum gear.

This life came to an abrupt and dreadful end when she was dropped on Dust. This frontier planet, almost entirely overcome with Feral Worlders, would be the end of her: without the Polymorphine, she would die.

Dust, however, was not to be her grave. Through the Emperor’s Will, she was confronted by a Kroot landing party within her first week planetside. Driven half-mad by the native wildlife, starved of the Polymorphine drug, and bearing only primitive melee blades, she slaughtered the Kroot. Covered in their vitria, she plunged her hand into a crushed chest cavity and pulled out the still-warm insides and consumed them.

When more Kroot were sent to investigate the missing party, she gave a repeat performance. The organs of the Shapers took to her Polymorphine-starved anatomy; and—while the withdrawal pangs did not cease—she began to heal.

As her madness faded (or, perhaps, changed), she began watching the local tribes of Feral Worlders. Possessing of her wits, she began to systematically challenge—and defeat—the village chieftains (partaking in ritualistic gladiatorial combat). Eventually, she gained the title of War Lord and ruled over the uncivilized masses. Reborn as a feral world leader, and weened from the addictive Polymophine, she was reborn as “Lord Victrix.” Other than a small imperial outpost, she controlled the entirety of Dust.

When Cavik Drake landed on Dust to lead a brilliant—if bloody—battle against the Orks, she approached him and offered her barbarian army as support. Years later, when he left the military to become a Rogue Trader, she went with him.

While her body has mostly recovered from the Polymorphine withdrawal, she still eats xeno flesh. She prefers Kroot, but will eat any1 she can get. This has stained her mouth—the walls, the teeth, the tongue—a deep black. She hides this deformity by constantly wearing a gas-mask (and in rare formal situations: a stylized half-mask).

When under the command of Cavik, she never felt the need to mention her ties to the Officio Asassinorum, but now that he has taken her on as his lieutenant in the Drake Fleet, she feels that the secret is too dangerous to keep.

She has a fear that her disposal to Dust was ordered from on high, but believes that it was a rivalry gone too far. She doesn’t seek revenge, but will happily take it if an opportunity arises.

Now that she has left her life as an assassin behind her, Victrix favors bright golds, blues, xeno pelts, and silvers in her wardrobe. She wears her hair half shaved, and bright blue.

She wields the blade Horse Cleaver2:

And the bolt pistols Ghost & Jackal:

1 Besides Tyranids. Not even Kroot eat Tyranids.

2 Mind you, the horses on Dust are two-headed, scaly, creatures with spiked tails. Of course, they still have the basic requirements to be a horse: trainable, ridable, and taste like shit.
