Chief Chirurgeon’s Log:
This facility will do nicely, though the staff and current organization leaves something to be desired. A less informed man might think this a foul shrine to The Great Unclean One full of wretched cultists. Supplies were hardly tracked, let alone kept tidy and the crew have become indolent and apathetic. One of them has even been selling drugs to the underdeck crew. This will stop now. I think I will have him scourged, not only will it set an example but it will make an excellent practice case for severe lacerations. All drugs and medication will now be kept under lock and key and everything will be signed out for and logged. I will get this place running like a proper military triage center. A good soldier obeys without question. A good officer commands without doubt. I will make them good soldiers and I will have no doubts.
The First Officer suggested preparedness drills for various emergencies and I could not agree more. I have been working them hard during their 10 hour shifts and further having them spend an additional 5 hours of their “down time” acting as false casualties for the next shift. Once they have proven themselves ready to my satisfaction we can downgrade to a more leisurely twice a week. I must co-ordinate when she is running combat drills and make sure we take full part in them, I think it will be good for this sorry lot. Always, always lead from the front. Never expect a man under your command to undertake an action you’re not prepared to make yourself.
The Engineseer, I believe “he” said his title was Genetor, has requested a secluded laboratorium to conduct “experiments” and asked for any medical waste, especially cadavers and soon to be dead casualties. This sounds dangerously heretical, even for one of “his” kind. I shall have to keep a close eye on him… never did trust those cultists fully. Even the ones back on Krieg were always screeching at each other all secretively.
That foppish boy the Captain brought about to run the numbers seems well meaning enough, but I fear for his soul. “Heresy grows from idleness” and that lad seems to have far too much free time. Honestly, I dont mind the music much itself but doesn’t he have better things to do? I shall have to speak to the First Officer about that. He seems soft and could do with some hard training.
In His words “The universe has many horrors yet to throw at us. This is not the end of our struggle. This is just the beginning of our crusade to save Humanity. Be faithful! Be strong! Be vigilant!”
